Product Description
Bromford 'BCS67' is a heat treatable carbon-manganese steel with guaranteed as rolled properties, designed for engineering applications including the manufacture of chain side plates. The steel can be used in the as rolled condition or hardened and tempered for applications where enhanced properties are required.

As Rolled Properties
Yield strength (Re) 365 N/mm² min.
Tensile strength (Rm) 670 N/mm² min.
Elongation (A) 11% min.
Heat treated 870°C, T550-6600C)
'S' condition (Rm 775-925 N/mm²) as BS970 150M36.

Size Range
Hot Mill 1 flats are available in most combinations from 16mm up to 80mm wide, by 3mm up to 13mm thick.
Special profiles can be rolled within similar geometric limits.

Tolerances
BS970 Pt.1 dimensional tolerances are standard for mill
edge flats.

Width
10 to 35mm +/- 0.5mm, 35 to 75mm +/- 0.8mm,
over 75mm +/- 1.0mm

Thickness
up to 10mm +/- 0.4mm, over 10 mm +/- 0.5mm

Length
Standard + 300mm, Exacts + 50mm, Re-sheared + 6mm

Special tolerances and SPC analysis can be supplied
by agreement.

Supply Condition
Bars are available in lengths up to 8.0 metres. Bar ends are cleanly sheared. Standard bundles are 2000 kg secured with tensioned bands. Smaller bundles available by agreement.

Ancillary Services
Re-shearing, cold straightening, pickling and oiling, special bundling and wrapping.
